Fully Trained Service Dog
Our Fully Trained Service Dog Program is designed for individuals who need a service dog with advanced training already completed before placement. These dogs are carefully selected, raised, and professionally trained with the goal of creating a confident, reliable, and task-trained service dog ready to transition into everyday life with their future handler.
This program is ideal for individuals who may not be able to manage the intensive puppy-raising process or who need a dog with a higher level of completed training before bringing them home.
Every dog in our program is trained with a strong focus on temperament, neutrality, confidence, public access skills, and functional task work tailored to the handler’s individual needs.
How the Program Works
Application & Consultation
We begin with a detailed consultation to discuss:
- Your disability-related needs
- Lifestyle and activity level
- Desired tasks
- Home environment
- Expectations and goals
- Breed preferences and program fit
Approved applicants will place a deposit to reserve their spot in the program.
Our Training Philosophy & Timeline
Service dogs are not created overnight. Ethical, reliable service dog training takes time, consistency, and careful development over several years. Our program focuses on raising stable, confident dogs through structured training, real-world exposure, and relationship-based learning.
We believe in building dogs from the ground up by focusing on engagement, confidence, neutrality, clear communication, and functional obedience before expecting advanced task work. Training is approached in layers so dogs can fully understand their job while developing emotionally and mentally alongside the work being asked of them.
Throughout the program, dogs are exposed to a wide variety of environments, people, sounds, surfaces, and situations to help prepare them for the realities of public access work. We prioritize creating thoughtful, adaptable dogs rather than rushing through milestones for the sake of speed.
Most service dogs require approximately 18–24 months of consistent training before they are fully prepared for placement and working life. Some dogs may require additional time depending on maturity, health testing, temperament, or the complexity of the tasks being trained.
Because service dogs are living animals, training continues throughout their entire working life. Our goal is not just to create a well-trained dog, but to build a confident, successful long-term partnership between handler and dog.
Payment Plans
We understand that obtaining and training a service dog is a significant financial investment. To help make our programs more accessible, we offer flexible payment plan options for all of our service dog programs.
Payment schedules are customized based on the structure and timeline of your selected program. Most clients make payments in installments throughout the course of training rather than one large upfront payment.
Because training timelines vary by dog and program, payment structures may differ between Started Dogs, Hybrid Programs, and Fully Trained Dogs.
Please note:
- A deposit is required to reserve your spot in the program.
- All payment plans must remain current throughout training.
- Final payment must be completed before placement/graduation.
- Additional training, extended stays, or specialized task work may involve additional costs.
We are happy to discuss payment plan options during your consultation to help find a structure that works best for your needs.
