Service Dogs That Change Lives
From selecting the right dog to providing full training and ongoing support, our program makes service dogs more accessible, creating partnerships that truly transform lives.

About Our Service Dog Program
Our Service Dog Program is designed to make the process of receiving and training a service dog more accessible and supportive. Unlike many programs, we actively raise funds to help offset the overall cost, making service dogs more affordable.
The cost of a program dog is kept as low as possible so each family pays a manageable price. From the very beginning, we guide you through every step — helping you choose the right breed for your needs, connecting you with a responsible breeder, and providing all the training your dog will need.
Our program is structured as a Raise & Train. Your service dog will live with you from the start, giving you the chance to bond early while following a clear schedule and training plan. On average, it takes about 1.5 to 2 years for a program dog to complete training. During this time, you’ll be supported with consistent weekly training sessions — both in-person and virtual — so you’re never on this journey alone.
With our program, you’re not just getting a service dog. You’re gaining a trusted partner, guidance every step of the way, and a team dedicated to helping you succeed.

How We're Helping
We believe in the life-changing power of service dogs. Right now, someone in our community is in need of a highly trained service dog to help them live more independently — but the cost of purchasing and training a dog can be overwhelming.
That’s where this fundraiser comes in. Every hoodie, sticker, dog toy, or other item you purchase from this page directly supports this mission. 100% of the profits go into a dedicated fund to:
- Purchase a suitable dog for service work
- Cover the costs of professional training to prepare the dog for their future handler’s specific needs.
As a professional dog trainer, I will personally train this service dog from the ground up — giving them the skills, reliability, and confidence to become a true partner in their future handler’s daily life.
What types of tasks or disabilities do your service dogs support?
We train psychiatric, medical alert, and mobility dogs. We do not train guide dogs, but we will train sighted guide tasks.
What is the process to apply or be considered for receiving a service dog?
To apply for a Service Dog through Dinah & The Dogs, scroll down and fill out the Initial Interest Form. We will contact you to arrange an interview to determine if you're a good fit for our program.
How much does a service dog from you cost?
Our mission is to make service dogs affordable and accessible. Our Service Dogs are $10,000 to $15,000, depending on the breed of dog, breeder, tasks, and location.
What if I am not located in your area?
Our Service Dogs are placed all over the United States. Weekly training sessions are in-person & virtual depending on location. If you are not located in or near Memphis, TN, you are required to attend in-person training sessions every couple of months. You have the option to have your trainer travel to you for in-person sessions at your expense.
Can I pick which dog I will get?
Yes & No. Your trainer will assess your needs and lifestyle to determine a few breeds that best suit you. You will be provided with a few breeders to look over and pick your favorites. Part of the price you pay covers your trainer traveling to the breeder with you to help assess the puppies and pick the best one for you.
Do I need prior experience with dogs or training?
While prior experience owning dogs can be very helpful, it is not required. Our goal is to provide you with support throughout your dog's whole life. This goes for training, nutrition, life stages, and anything in between.
What breeders do you work with?
Each breeder that we recommend has been heavily vetted, and we have built a relationship of trust with them. Right now we place Labrador retrievers, Golden retrievers, and Standard Poodles.
Looking for a Service Dog?
Please fill out the form below if you are interested in a program dog from Dinah & The Dogs. A program service dog is a dog that has been professionally trained through our program to perform specific tasks that help a person with a disability. These dogs are carefully selected, trained to meet high standards of behavior and obedience, and matched with individuals whose needs they can best support. Unlike pet dogs or emotional support animals, service dogs are trained to perform life-changing tasks and are protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
